How To Update & Flash Final Android Nougat 7.0 on Galaxy S7 / Edge with ODIN?
1. Download Android Nougat 7.0 Final Stock ROM Firmware from the links given above, and extract it on your PC. It’s around 2.2GB compressed download and requires 4.5 GB free space approximately on your PC storage drive in order to extract it.
2. Download ODIN and Samsung Drivers and extract them on your Windows PC.
3. Install Samsung Drivers on your PC & then Run ODIN.
4. Enable OEM unlock on your phone: Go to Settings » About phone » and tap Build number seven times to enable Developer options. Go back to main Settings page, scroll to bottom and select Developer options from there. Under Developer options, look for Enable OEM unlock checkbox/toggle and enable it.
5. Boot your device into Download mode:
a. Switch off your device.
b. Press and hold “Home + Power + Volume down” buttons for a few seconds until you see a warning screen.
c. Press Volume Up on the warning screen to accept it and boot into Download mode.
d. Once your Galaxy S7 / Edge is in download mode, connect it to the PC with a USB cable. The Odin window on PC should detect the device and show an “Added!!” message.
6. Now we’ll select each firmware file (from files we got in Step 1 above) into the appropriate box in Odin.
a. Click on CSC tab and select the firmware file starting with HOME_CSC in its name.
└ Note: Do NOT select the regular CSC file that starts with CSC in its name, as that would replace your CSC and thus would result factory data reset of the device.
In case you are stuck at “Meta-data/Fota.zip” with ODIN, you might need to use simple CSC file instead of HOME_CSC. But this will erase your all data from the device.
b. Click on CP tab and select file starting with CP in its name.
c. Click on BL tab and select the file starting with BL in its name.
d. Click on AP tab and select the file starting with AP in its name.
└ Note: DON’T play with any other options on Odin the screen. You’re only required to connect your device and select the firmware files as instructed above.
7. Click the Start button on Odin and wait for it to finish the process. Once it has finished successfully, you’ll see a pass message on the Odin screen.
8. Your Galaxy S7 / Edge will automatically reboot when Odin is done flashing. You can then disconnect your device.
└ It might take some time for the first boot after flashing a stock firmware.

Do i lose warranty with this? Does in counter Knox? tnx
No, it will not trip Knox. Since it’s official Stock ROM. Warranty will not void.
I ran the stock ROM on my S7Edge while waiting for Vodafone to supply Nougat but now wonder if I will be at a disadvantage when that happens.
Would I be better to try to revert to 6,0,1 in the meantime, and can this be done by running ODIN again using the 6.0.1 Stock ROM ?

If you had upgraded to Nougat manually, you will not be at any disadvantage. 🙂 Instead you will get future updates more frequently.

All the same, as there are several features on this device now which will not perform satisfactorily (e.g. I have a devil of a job to stop an alarm without accessing the alarm setting screen).
Can I revert to 6.0.1 by using the HOME_CSC mdf file in place of CSC in ODIN ?

These firmware files listed over here work only with International variants of Galaxy S7 (SM-G930F / FD) and Galaxy S7 Edge (SM-G935F / FD).
What will happen if i install Nougat in S6 by using above instructions with s7 firmware ???
Dear user, you cannot flash Galaxy S7 or Galaxy S7 Edge Nougat firmware on your Galaxy S6. If you will try to flash this firmware on your Galaxy S6, your phone will probably never turn on.

Hi, I flashed the new firmware last night and everything looks good apart from a couple issues. When trying to view the firmware using *#1234# I get an error message “connection problem or invalid MMI CODE”, and I thought this was the UK version of the csc, which based on the carrier I am with (EE) would have enabled the use of their wifi calling facility. I still don’t have this and wondered how else I can check the firmware settings. I did get a pass in Odin and followed the instructions to the letter. My phone originally had the Swiss csc version at release level 6.0.1. Any ideas. Thanks. Paul.

Check for an OTA update, as soon as you will update your phone through phone’s settings. This problem will be fixed. 🙂

Hi, thanks for the reply. I figured out the problem. My phone had the Swiss version of 6.0.1 so I flashed this to the UK version of 7.0, which I think caused the issue (I used the home_csc so maybe I should have flashed the csc file instead) . I reset my phone to factory settings, installed the BTU version of 6.0.1 through Odin and used the scs file rather than the home_scs and everything worked brilliantly and I then also got the stock OTA version of Nougat and I can view the firmware using the code I mentioned above. The wifi calling is also working. Thanks again for your reply though. Paul

Hei, i have rootet my s7 edge a long time ago, and now i’m not able due Samsung policy to use S health anymore. I flash the Nougat rom from this website with odin and with the normal CSC not the home-CSC , but still my Knox app is trip and therefor no S-health. What can i do? what rom can i flash a with a avaible Knox app? Sorry for my English!

Try to flash the Stock ROM again with home-csc file. It will disable the root on your Galaxy S7 Edge and you will be able to use S-Health again.

Can I have some Help? ive ran into a boot loop where the phone will boot aand the samsung boot logo shows up then goes blank and just keeps repeating. ive tried to flash again but every time i do it comes up with an error. here is my logs if it will help.

Hi All,
I managed to brick my phone after trying to retrieve a deleted files using Dr Fone. Kies would not work so I followed instructions here, downloaded the SM-G935F S7 Edge stock rom Android Nougat on this page and “flashed” my phone using Odin v. 3.12.10. It is no longer stuck in a bootloop or download mode. It is connecting to the wifi, my home screen photo is there and I can see notifications however I cannot get past the password. When i type in my pin the screen just turns off and the buttons dont always work. So things are these but I cant get in. I was getting error messages saying that “IMS service is not working” and “com.sec.epdg has stopped” and process not working. These messages have stopped but I still cannot get in. Tantalisingly close. I was wondering whether I needed to download a version of the android nougat thingy especially for UK O2. I have not managed to find a version of this that doesnt require me to join a premium service or wait 5 hours for it to download. Any ideas how I fix these glitches/get into my phone/flash the right OS or whatever it is? I am undoubtedly over my head and over the moon that things have improved this much but still cant actually use my phone at all!! Please help!!
